Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using RedCapra ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. RedCapra is provided by CapraSeed ("we", "us").

2. Description of Service

RedCapra is a local-first security audit workbench that performs bounded, non-destructive security checks against web targets. The Service includes a free Solo plan and paid subscription plans with additional features.

3. Authorized use only

You may only scan targets you own or have explicit written authorization to test. Unauthorized scanning of third-party systems is prohibited and may violate applicable laws. RedCapra performs read-only, non-destructive checks, but you are solely responsible for ensuring you have proper authorization.

You agree not to use RedCapra for any unlawful purpose, including unauthorized access to computer systems, denial of service, or any activity prohibited by the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), the Computer Misuse Act, or equivalent legislation in your jurisdiction.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.

5. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the next billing cycle. You can cancel at any time from your account settings or the Stripe billing portal. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact support@redcapra.com.

6. Data ownership

You retain full ownership of your scan data, findings, and reports. On the Solo plan, all data is stored locally and never touches our servers. On paid plans with cloud sync enabled, we store your data to provide the service but do not claim any rights over it. You can export or delete your data at any time.

7. AI features

AI-assisted triage is powered by Anthropic's Claude. When you use AI features, your scan findings are transmitted to Anthropic for processing. AI outputs are suggestions only — you are responsible for reviewing and validating all findings and recommendations.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

RedCapra is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that scans will identify all vulnerabilities, that AI triage will be accurate, or that the Service will be uninterrupted. Security testing inherently involves uncertainty — RedCapra is a tool to assist, not replace, professional judgment.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CapraSeed shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your access to the Service ceases. Local-only data remains on your machine. Cloud-synced data will be deleted 30 days after account closure unless you export it first.

11. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of France. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Paris, France.
